You know what you do with your 1 vote in an open primary? You cast it for the person you want to see hold the office the most. Otherwise you are just helping the person you like the least (or think will be the most defeatable whichever the case may be), right into the office.

You don't help your side by casting your vote for the other side.

No offense, but anybody doing that kind of thing with the only vote they get has 8lbs of cherry flavored jello for brains.
What's so crazy about that? Mccain is leading by an insurmountable margin and it's not far fetched to believe man people reason that he doesn't need their votes badly. The only reason he isn't nominated yet is because there's an inbred hick with his name in the hat.

America isn't ready for a black president, not yet and cali could easily be lost if obama is on the ticket, which would be gg. It wouldn't be unheard of; cali has been won by the red in the past and I'm saying that a BLACK man versus a WHITE man who is very liberal on immigration is an easy decision for most latinos.

Fuck, I'd have gone for that in a heartbeat.

Edit: Just checked my email, I got it 6 minutes before I donated. *sigh*

I think you're confusing the term "Latino" for Mexican. All the hispanic people I know (Myself included) don't want open borders with Mexico. And a choice between an old (probably racist) white guy and a young black man? Fuck whitey. Give me Obama.

Why would latinos breaking for McCain be racist but blacks going 80+% for Obama is not?

Lawlz. One thing going for Obama in Texas is that because of his fund raising superiority, he going to have ads going for about 2 weeks before Hillary will before the primaries.

He is saying that hispanics specifically would rather vote for basically anyone over a black man, he makes a point of CAPITALIZING the word BLACK in every post. Pretty obvious what he's getting at.

That went over your head. He's referring to the stereotype that Mexicans/latinos don't like black people, hence them voting for Hillary instead.

If that stereotype is really true, it boggles my mind that a suppressed minority would be racist towards another suppressed minority.

Obama's fund-raising is going to go ballistic this month.

He was responding to Chu who suggested the possibility that a group of rogue republican voters in the commonwealth of Virginia decided to vote for Obama during their primary so that in the general election Republican voters in California would be more likely to succeed in voting McCain over Obama than McCain over Hillary by the reasoning that Hispanic voters in California would rather vote for a 72 year old white Republican than a 46 year old black Democrat.

Mass conspiracy theories make my head hurt.

I think so too.

Hillary was really proud of her 10 Mill earlier on in the month, but that was only just keeping pace with Obamas Million-per-day pace of Janurary.

They will be unrolling their February numbers just in time to impress folks on March 4th

The post I quoted implied that latinos voting against Obama because he black are all racist. My contention is that is true, but that they are no more racist than the blacks who are voting for Obama because he is black.

Nobody in a contest with more than one viable candidate gets 85% of a voting group unless that group is voting on non-substantive reasons. The issues facing black Democrats is not so incongruent with average America that he would see such ridiculous majorities except for the fact that he's black. I watch a lot of news and almost every time they ask a black person why they're voting for Obama the reply is some form of pride.

It is different because it implied that all of these racist latino people all got together, somehow avoiding detection, and conspired to conciously vote for a candidate that they do not want to win, just so the other racist hispanic people in California will vote for the white guy in November. Because these racist hispanic people are only racist against blacks, not whites. It's ludicrous.

To suggest that a black person would vote for another person because they are black is very different than that wild series of assumptions you would have to make in order to get to the point that you think all hispanic voters who vote for Obama do so only so McCain will get elected.
