It's kind of neat to watch the wheels slowly fall off the Obama campaign, especially as more information is revealed about him, and more people move past the initial "high" of his oratory skills and actually start trying to understand what kind of president he would be.

I still think he will get the nod, and will probably (though not definately) win the general, but it's not going to be the inevitable / landslide that so many believed (and still do believe) is coming.

It's cute that alot of people want to blame HRC and her team for "ruining Obama's veneer" but the simple truth is, the media actually started asking questions, and broaching subjects that were not catered to making him look good.

Clinton may not win this election (probably not, almost definately) but I can say pretty confidently that the media has gone a long way toward making up for the "election engineering project" they had undertaken with respect to the dismantling of the Clinton machine and the building of the Obama one.

I personally know several, hard HARD core supporters of Obama, who while they are still voting for him, are incredibly disappointed over these revelations on Ayers and Wright etc. Most of them feel like Obama was not very upfront about those issues but more importantly, his smug handling of the same, and his visible disdain for any question or forum that doesnt paint him in a heavenly glowing light.

The pledged delegates don't really matter. A lot of the voting that determined those delegates happened 3 months ago, it may not be what the Democrat public thinks today. The danger is allowing her to turn Obama's groups that voted for him previously into her camp unopposed. Operation Chaos is bullshit. This would have happened anyway and Rush is using it for ratings. Hillary or Obama will beat McCain in the general. Hillary does not need any Black votes to win. The Black vote is so small, it is insignificant. Black people are only about a 10% minority in the US. Obama however will need white women and enough should vote for him to squeeze by. Hillary would beat McCain in a landslide but Obama will squeeze by.

This is what happens when the campaign for President goes on for 14 months. Seriously, how can anyone stand the bullshit that has been spewed for the next 6 months? Why must the election cycle take so fucking long, all it does is make it so that Obama will have to start campaigning for his second term as soon as he is sworn in. It's what Representitives do really. We need to change the time between Primaries and Generals to 1 month. If you cant figure out who you are voting for in 1 month, then dont vote for the love of god.

I was just thinking about that but I think it really means that someone is dedicated to being President. Once they become President, the campaign will be seen as a cake walk. Also, keep in mind that this is not a normal campaign. If this were two White guys like say John McCain and Joe Biden we would not see this much media attention. When the Pastor of a Candidate gets 3 solid hours of air time on all cable news channels to rant about bullshit, it means we have reached a new level of insanity.

One of her supporters, Rev. Dr. Barbara Reynolds (professor of Howard University School of Divinity) was mentioned on stage as the person "who organized this event." She is also a bigtime booster for the Clinton campaign who wrote in her blog in February, "My vote for Hillary in the Maryland primary was my way of saying thank you."

I think the conspiracy theory that Obama was behind it can be put to rest. Also, I think labeling this as a blow or gain for Obama is premature - that will largely depend upon how Obama and the media spin it.
