| Sarcasm in a textual setting is a hard thing to pull off, Dol. I apologize if that truly was your intent. And simply asking people to use a different word doesn't mean the first word isn't a word. They are just saying it is more commonly accept still to use the suggested word. |

+2 Internets | It makes me laugh that the article beginning this post suggests blacks will be so angry at Hillary Clinton for 'playing dirty' that they won't vote for her in the general election. Blacks vote Democrat. The only way to peel a small percentage of them toward Republicans is to rock the Jesus (Bush did this) and he got a very small percentage in the 2000 election. |

| I don't put a ton of stock in this. It may affect who wins the Democratic nod, but I don't see it affecting the GE too much. The Democrats I know, even the ones that hate Hillary, hate Bush more than more. Even if she wins the nod, and even if people are reluctant to do so, I think Dem voters will still side with her in the end if only to avoid another Republican in office. Obama vs anybody but Romney will net us our first black president imo. The Hillary factor is just too crazy to predict. I really hope she doesn't win the primaries. Then again, I would have sold my house in 2004 betting that there was NO WAY IN HELL Bush would win a second term. So.... yeah. I see lots of pundits and shit who pretty much like to say that the Dems will win the GE no matter what, but I'm not convinced. They absolutely positively must not nominate Hillary. |

+4 Internets | I totally called the 2004 race, my dad, who was born and raised in Texas, and hates the carpetbagger fuckhead Bush and always has (he is an Anne Richards Democrat) insisted that there was no possible way that Bush could win in 2004, with all the scandal and controversy, shit the guy had like a 30% approval rating. He was so certain that he didn't take time in the middle of his 18 hour shift to go vote. Yeah, the fundies ALWAYS vote, barring the rapture, they will be at the polls. This year I'm calling Billary. As disgusting as it is, as much as it hurts me personally, and makes me want to cry for the lost hope of democracy and freedom, that evil bitch knows how to play the game. Hillary with Edwards as VP. |
