but im over the election as a democrat. what pisses me off is the lying (on both sides). im sick of being lied to. if you have to cover something up legitimately in the interest of national security thats fine. but the fact remains that we're lied to repeatedly about things we SHOULD know about. i cant trust friggin anyone. and the only person in washington i may be able to trust is being destroyed by the clinton machine. im moving to europe.

| My favorite quote of the whole election so far I heard on the radio when the Clinton/Obama race/gender thing came up a week or more ago. This was when they were agreeing to not mention race and gender and move on. Hillary Clinton "I agree gender should not be an issue in this election, and as a WOMAN I'm going to...." That's literally what she said and never even hesitated. I nearly laughed my ass off on that one. Do these people even listen to themselves. |

| Which anyone who knows anything about politics will tell you, was one of the best moves ever in politics. This simple gesture resonates so well in the subconscious it's nearly unbelievable. One of the great political tactics used by Bill in his campaigns, irregardless of what else he said or did. |

| It doesn't suggest anything, it is quite clear that irregardless is not a word in common usage especially in prose. You might as well try and make the argument that leet or nukka are viable english words.

| ...haha...so you agree it isn't a proper english word but still used it and now can't wrap your head around the fact that me saying "it isn't a word" doesn't require such a narrow interpretation and could have in fact meant "it isn't a word that any literate person uses." Keep the insults coming though they make your point ![]()

| It's a proper English word. It just isn't used much. It means the exact same as regardless. Nothing in what I quoted suggests that irregardless isn't a word. In fact IT SAYS THE EXACT OPPOSITE. It just also suggests that it is so rarely used that most people will try and say "it isn't a word". Exactly like you did. But you didn't read that part, did you? Just because a word isn't used in everyday speech doesn't mean it isn't a word. Now please, keep trying to backtrack on me. It makes me laugh. |

You keep missing the best part of your quote, the last line. The dictionary that you are so vehemently defending is telling you not to use the damn word. That means that the makers of the dictionary who define proper english prose are telling you not to use it, it isn't good enough. Stop getting so angry that I called you out.

| Called me out on what? Using an archaic word. Ooooooh. The Grammar Police will beat me with late-evening wood cylinders! You're still not admitting that you were wrong and irregardless is, in fact, a proper English word. Just one that is used mostly in speech and not in writings. But you expect me to somehow kowtow to you. Sure it tells me to use something else. It also tells YOU that it is, in fact, a word. |
