If you're buying into this, chances are you're also buying into the "Democrats = terrorists win!" phrase and will vote for McCain anyway.
God created brown people so we could tell them apart. Just be glad Utah had like 3 electoral votes.

The ridiculous photo is explained by AP article. This seems to be an attempt to get the Jewish vote in Ohio and Penn by the Clintons.

The Associated Press: Obama Photo Causes Stir

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

WASHINGTON (AP) — A photograph circulating in the Internet of Democratic Sen. Barack Obama dressed in traditional local garments during a visit to Kenya in 2006 is causing a dustup in the presidential campaign over what constitutes a smear.

The Associated Press photograph portrays Obama wearing a white turban and a wraparound white robe presented to him by elders in Wajir, in northeastern Kenya. Obama's estranged late father was Kenyan and Obama visited the country in 2006, attracting thousands of well-wishers.

The gossip and news Web site The Drudge Report posted the photograph Monday and said it was being circulated by "Clinton staffers" and quoted an e-mail from an unidentified campaign aide.

Obama campaign manager David Plouffe immediately accused Clinton's campaign of "the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we've seen from either party in this election."

Obama's foreign policy adviser, Susan Rice, said the circulation of the photograph was divisive and suggests "that the customs and cultures of other parts of the world are worthy of ridicule or condemnation."

The Clinton campaign did not comment on the distribution of the photo, but campaign manager Maggie Williams said the Obama campaign's reaction was inflaming passions and distracting voters.

"Enough," Williams said in a statement. "If Barack Obama's campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely.

"This is nothing more than an obvious and transparent attempt to distract from the serious issues confronting our country today and to attempt to create the very divisions they claim to decry."

In a teleconference with reporters, retired Air Force Gen. Scott Gration, an Obama adviser who accompanied the Illinois senator to Kenya two years ago, said the senator was there to learn how tribes were organizing themselves.

"And in the course of this, Senator Obama was given an outfit and as the guest that he was, the great guest, he took this outfit and they encouraged him to try some of it on," Gration said. "It was a thing that we all do."

In December, two Clinton Iowa volunteers resigned after forwarding a hoax e-mail that falsely said Obama is a Muslim possibly intent on destroying the United States. Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ and says he has never been a Muslim, but false rumors about Islamic ties are circulating on the Internet.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with those pictures we circulated. If you think there is something wrong with them then than what does that say about your character? Hillary has worn regional dress before. So what.

Does anyone else think that is a really shitty gambit? I cannot see the move as having positive strategic value. In fact, most of Hillary's moves lately look to have the effect of being negative for both candidates, except Hillary always gets the worse of it.

I commented earlier that she handled the debate wrong when she got called on her mandatory health care plan versus Obama's optional plan. Getting furious over the mailer is the wrong move. It's actually the same type of mailer that beat her over the head back in the 90s.

A husband and wife sitting at a dinner table with a stack of bills - "How will we ever pay for our medical insurance?"

You've got to explain why your system is mandatory, why it won't hurt people, and why it is better. If your counter line is "for shame" or whatever then that is a loss. You said you'd go after people's paychecks. If you don't put that in context and counter the implecations then Obama gets to keep smacking you in the face with it until you do. Going the opposite direction and criticiszing his plan for not covering 15 million Americans is again the wrong fucking move.

You don't have to participate in his if you don't want to but no one will be excluded regardless of health or income. Your plan mandatorily includes everyone. That is the issue. Defend that. If you don't think Americans listen or understand than I really don't want you as President.

I think he is playing on the Clinton campaign's response-which is ridiculous.

They are implying that they circulated the pictures, however anyone with a negative reaction to them must be a racially and ethnically insensitive person who is only dividing the people!

Apparently they just wanted to get those out there so the people could understand how great Obama is at foreign relations and etiquette???? Idiots.

nope, nothing at all wrong with Obama wearing that outfit, what IS wrong is Clintons campaign pulling it out a spreading it with the unsaid caption of "look at the Obama wearing terrorist clothes!" What does that say about her character?

Sure Hillarys worn regional dress before, but I haven't seen Obamas campaign arbitrarily throwing them out there, theres nothing wrong with Hillary cooking in the kitchen wearing an apron either. Would it be ok if Obamas campaign posted pics of that without caption? Hillarys on the run and now shes getting dirty, I imagine it'll get worse as well.

The Clinton's are playing the fear card now and it's the end of the road for her.

The Clinton's are going down in flames and I'm enjoying watching it.

Also you just have to look at this as one less thing the Repubs can use against Obama as it's already been explained.

Why would anyone think they can win a negative campaign when the only ammo they have is bullshit.

I haven't heard any Hilary ads on the radio here yet, but hear Obama ones every day in Dallas. I may not be a typical constituent in that I can read and think for myself, but still; these fucking ads have NO MESSAGE WHATSOEVER! I don't dislike Obama or anything but literally what these ads say is, Obama has the change we need. Hope is the voice of our generation, March 4th it's your turn! Show that you believe in Hope and Change for our generation. Then it cuts to Obama saying "I want you to believe in this campaign, believe in this country, and believe in change" ..

I mean what the fuck is that useless horseshit? I'm going to vote for him because..... he wants me to believe in his campaign, and I have hope?

What the fuck is this?

Better than the Ron Paul ad I heard for the first time over the weekend telling me how all the other candidates, past presidents, leaders, etc. are all members of a secret organization CFR or something that is trying to do away with America, Canada, Mexico and create one world government...

Give me hopeful rhetoric over skull and bones schtick anyday.

It is all about name recognition. If he gave you a detailed list of policy positions would you remember them? It is Marketing 101 really.
