| No. Those on the extreme right are insane just as those on the extreme left are insane. The world is not so simple. Conservatives have some very good ideas. You may be basing your opinion on extremes like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, or Michael Savage. Keep in mind that those talk radio guys are trying to get people to listen so they will say extreme things. Ronald Reagan or George Will are better examples of a real Conservative. |

+1 Internets | In simplest terms...Conservatives want to preserve that which is good...And Liberals want to change that which is wrong. The two purposes often conflict, which is the heart of the national debate to me. At present, I think we have more things to change than things to preserve(in a political/policy sense). Don't get me wrong, I don't want rampant change and a dissolution of "American" values...But we definitely need to shake things up and make some changes. |

| speaking as a conservative, i do care about the people who have shitty lives despite their best efforts to change their situation. what i dont care about are people with shitty lives who only blame others for their problems without even attempting to fix them. |

| That filthy Obama, he seems to want to govern, be a bit moral and get his message to the people rather than jerk around with mercurial reporters and play ass-kiss or dirty politics. Disgusting! |

| I don't see how anyone can think hillary is the lesser of two evils compared to obama. I'm surpised they are even close. She and her husband are just taking shots and playing dirty, whatever it takes to get back into power. Are people not sick of bush's and clinton's by now, i mean jesus. I'm supporting Ron Paul personally, but I am hoping obama comes out on top of hillary and i would rather vote for him compared to any of the other republicans. |

| The insanity is CATEGORIZING YOURSELF SO BROADLY. How any person could summarize all of their beliefs in a single term is ridiculous, and that entire system of policy-drafting needs destroying. We need people to state WHY they think what they do without using the copout of stating WHAT they are: religious, political or any other sort of groupthink is sickening. |

Clintons are basically republicans if you look at their policymaking and drafting. The media imagery of Clinton as a loose-goose is simply coverup to the fact that he never strayed too far away from the republican creed. The shitty tactics and "bad campaign" is simply to ensure Obama wins so that the republicans have any chance in hell. The joke here is that anyone really sees any remarkable differences between any of these elite politicians. Sure, lets point out that hillary is a woman and obama is black. Let's ignore that they're both part of the culturally elite, upper class. Let's pretend that anyone can possibly dismantle the war machine. Tinfoil hat time, but people have been "suicided" for less than what Obama is claiming to be doing. If you think this campaign is getting rough, wait 'til the republicans get their turn. | |

+18 Internets | Clinton wins in Florida. What I find amazing is that so far there are almost as many Democrats voting as Republicans, and you have to expect a lot of Democrats not showing up since they don't get any delegates. Considering it'll be a battle state in the general election, Obama is getting beaten pretty hard. Obama 70% of the black vote, 20% of the white vote. Clinton 60% latinos, Obama 30%. Yeah, this race does seem to be a lot about race - if he can't get more whites on board, he's doomed. Last edited by Soriak : 01-29-2008 at 05:06 PM. |
