| They'll never impeach Bush, because: a) The Democrats in Congress have all the resolve of frightened children; b) Most people seem to be taking a lazy "Oh, it's just another year, then he's gone!" approach to the problem. Of course, now we can cue the reactionary mob who'll flock to the thread and declare GWB to be the greatest leader ever, the country in fine shape, the financial crisis to be a "hoax," Iraq to be a flourishing democracy, etc. |

| agree with both of you millie and xil. clinton lied about cheating on his wife. not a fan from a moral perspective but it wasnt a deep damn betrayal of the f'ing country. i dont care who you sleep with as long as the country is functional and safe. he lied about it under oath ok yes thats text book perjury but jesus h christ bush commits conspiracy and treason and nada. zilch. the only reason he wasnt charged with perjury is that he didnt deny involvement under oath and took steps to assure he'd never have to take an oath in the first place. and even if he was subpoena'ed .....we know how much respect the administration has for those pieces of paper/other branches of the government. tad bit hypocritical/uneven justice eh? typical republican bullshit tho. we get to pass judgment on everyone else but we shouldn't have to answer for our actions when we do the same damn things or worse. party of hypocrisy. I fucking hate GWB. Last edited by Etoille; 11-21-2007 at 09:17 AM.. |

| Clinton was doing such a good job in the White House that the Republicans were gunning for him and searching for something to bring him down to make the Democrats look bad. Bush is doing such a bad job in the While House that the Democrats can just leave him there and it is making the Republicans look terrible. Quote:

| It was pretty obvious from the start that Bush was behind all this. That, or he's just the idiot pawn some say he is. And I don't think he's that dumb. I also believe it's a nasty trick he pulled on that CIA woman. Even if it does not put her life in danger (and I don't know about that) it sends a pretty bad message to all the people who are working for their country / government. But the fact is that it shouldn't be ground to impeach a President of the US. It shouldn't even be discussed. Presidents and high officials do a lot of nasty stuff. Some of it for their country, some of it for themselves, but still. It's part of the job description. All in all, no big deal. Obviously, the Clinton impeachment thing was even more ridiculous. What's even MORE ridiculous is how ignorant of how ridiculous it was so many Americans are. Edit: But maybe I don't get it. I'm sure someone is gonna barge in and explain why Clinton was a dirty socialo-communisto-nazi who betrayed his nations to the Mexicans and Bush is somehow making all this for you, for the American people. But who? Who is up to the task? I can't wait. IBTKR. Last edited by Arbuste; 11-21-2007 at 09:19 AM.. |

+75 Internets | I like how these white house aides cash in big $$$ for insider secrets in their upcoming biographies. God I hope I can work for some giant conglomerate and something whack goes down so I can sit on it for years and then do a tell-all book and make millions. That's the new american dream ain't it? /stares at SOE |

This woman was working on stifling nuclear proliferation in Iraq and Iran. OOPS. This is not no big deal, this is a huge deal. If you or I did this we would be put to death. It is treason, plain and simple. | |
