| Cell Phone Question Has anyone bought a phone from Amazon? I'm looking at buying a new cell phone for my AT&T service that is up this month. Amazon seems to have the best deals and no rebate bull shit. I hate flip-phones and I'm looking at either the Sony W580i slider phone or the Samsung A727(also called Trace). Those seem to be the only fairly normal options as I don't care about email or web on my phone and everything seems to be a flip phone lately. Both phones seem to be free if bought with a 2 year contract renewal. Thats free with no rebates. The AT&T prices are $80 and $50 after a rebate. It just seems odd that Amazon has the best deals on phones and I don't want to get burned by something I'm missing in the fine print. |

| I went with the Sony-Erickson W580i through amazon. The phone, blue tooth headset and 2 day shipping cost me $15 with a contract extension. The phone is less then a month old so it seems like a good deal. Not sure why you think you can't renew through Amazon. The Pearl looks like a really nice phone but I'll never use half of its features so I'd rather get something smaller and cheaper. |
