+2 Internets | Fuck typing. Okay, so one of my classes is typing. I have to learn how to do this as the keyboard is the "tool that allows you to input data into a computer." So since I was like 10 years old, I've typed as I do now. Now, I have to re-learn it. It's fucking hard as HELL. I can't seem to get it. When I try to move one finger I move another two or three at the same time. Sometimes I have to think for a few second to tell my finger "NO, let THAT finger move, YOU stay the fuck down." But alas, it doesn't work. Whats worse is when I get home, I try to practice on my daily internet runs. But it makes typing a message so slow for me it becomes a severe pain in the ass. Whoever fucking came up with this shit needs to get donkey punched in the face. Fuck.

| Donkey punch! On a more serious note, I used to have to look at the keyboard but then after several years I noticed myself not having to anymore. Though I don't keep my fingers in any standard position, I just type. Good luck though! Last edited by Eduardo : 08-31-2007 at 12:59 PM. |

| They're probably teaching him the traditional method (ASD and JKL) instead of looking at the keyboard and typing via one finger.

| When I finally decided I needed to learn how to type correctly (and much faster) I got out my favorite book at the time and typed out the longest chapter, forcing myself to only type in the *new* way, regardless of how slow it was. That worked really well for me. It's just practice, practice, practice. |

| Typing used to be a mandatory high school class. It was taught on a typewriter. As I look back, it was the most valuable class I ever took. It was easier to learn on a real typewriter although you would have to use tape to correct errors. Whatever pain it is to learn it will be the most valuable class you ever take. |
