Online Survey Software?

So one of the organizations I'm in likes to do online surveys of its members. We're not really concerned with having especially "secure" surveys, as the type of information gathering we do isn't ever abused.

We just want a simple program that lets you ask multiple choice, fill in the blank, and whatever else, then aggregates them in some survey display. We're currently using SurveyMonkey for $40/month, but I'm sure there is something cheaper or on a one-time purchase. We have the hardware to host the program if needed, just need the software.

There's tons of choices out there, so we're not really sure where to start. And we'd rather not do a $200 test-purchase just to find out that the software sucks. Anyone have experience with any of them?
