Though if you work at it you can find fast food that is healthi-er. Wendy's offers side salads and small Caesar salads for 99c as well. Not bad. And as a previous poster said, they offer chicken nuggets and smaller burgers for 99c. Decent for an inexpensive fast food run.

And I remember the 30 cent hamburger tuesdays.... I also remember you could buy the 10 pack of movie tickets when I was in college for $50. Would include 10 movie tickets and each ticket had a coupon for super size popcorn and super size drink for $5 with free refills.... that was the best deal in history. Go with about 3 of your buddies. $30 bucks for 4 people and all the popcorn and soda you could eat or drink. | |

| Food prices across the board are increasing because the price of corn -- a staple crop in just about everything from agriculture to livestock feed, etc. -- is skyrocketing, largely due to newfound demands for corn as ethanol. Anything that is fed corn (cows, pigs, chickens, etc.) will have its own byproducts (milk, meat, etc.) increase dramatically in cost. This is why your McDonalds meals are more expensive and why your milk is more expensive at the supermarket. This will not get better anytime soon. |

| Gas prices are a bigger short term factor I think. Milk and dairy is something that travels a lot and has to be restocked daily. I've noticed bread being more expensive as well, but not nearly as much. Local bakeries are much more common than local dairy farms.

| Anyone remember fiesta tacos from Taco Bell? ALways thought it was funny ordering like 50 of them stoned, until I worked there for a year. If you don't remember them, they were the 29c mini tacos, about 1/2 to 1/3 of a normal taco. |

| When I lived in New Orleans for a couple of years, I had a lot of police friends. They said it was really bad about going to drive thru places because at the time the city was pretty notorious for spitting in cops food. They said they only trusted taco bell, which kind of runs counter to what you were saying there (not that I am doubting the TV part just talking from my limited experience). They said they had arrested multiple people from McDonalds and Burger King, and they got charged with pretty serious crimes. It's like up to 5 years in jail for spitting in someone's food in a restaurant drive thru (I guess it goes down as a 3rd degree felony assault or battery, sorry not an armchair lawyer). |

| fuck fast food man. that shit tastes gross i dont know how you people can stand it, once in a while i'll dig a bigmac or some shit but come on. its just like in that hot pockets skit 'after you eat a hot pocket you never go like all 'ahh that was a satisfying meal'. same shit with fast food. i don't know how you guys can't tell the difference. When you eat fast food to the point that you are full, it doesn't give a satisified feeling of full like when you load up on a home cooked meal or something with real food. Its just that you are full, full of artificial gross shit. And I am not biased towards fast food either, I used to eat that shit often enough, then for no reason at all I didn't have fast food for like 6 months. When i returned and ate it, it left me with that feeling the hotpocket feeling. Since then I haven't eaten fast food. For same food pricing why not get a wawa hoagie and a bag of chips? Sides the massive sodium intake, its much healthier and around the same price and same quantity. Especially wawa hoagie's because you just get tons of ingredients on them and they load it up so it's one packed mofo. I haven't been to subway in years so maybe their prices have increased too, but hoagies are cheap healthy and quick.
