+38 Internets | Changing Styles with firefox - light on dark I've always found light text on dark background to be much easier on the eyes and just today I found a Firefox plugin called "Stylish" https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108 It lets you download CSS changes to modify the way websites look. However, I've only found working styles for Wikipedia and Google, but there are some issues with their non-main page. Sadly the styles haven't been updated recently... maybe this has already been replaced by something else? I'd love to apply this to all websites that don't have their own unique background. Is there such a thing of pure own or do I have to continue pretending my screen is a sheet of paper? ![]() At least this board got it right! ![]() examples of google and wikipedia: I like the color scheme of (edit: dark-)wikipedia much more, but what can you do... ![]() ![]() Last edited by Soriak : 08-13-2007 at 01:26 AM. |

| It's a long, tedious process for most sites these days. Your best bet is to hope that someone else has already made a Stylish script for the sites you want redone. The biggest problems you run into are transparent gifs that are aliased to a white background, and sites like Yahoo where every single CSS element applies a white bg and black text to whatever it's used on. There's a good imdb one too -- IMDb - dark blue redesign | userstyles.org. They all pretty much fail at the front page, but that one looks really nice on individual movie pages.
