Meh. I figure you have a choice. If you decide you want kids you can choose to make one or raise one that is already on the planet and needs a loving home. These two sex maniacs aren't responsible for other kids being in a shitty situation. So no, it's not their fault.

But still they had the choice. Alleviate the suffering of children that already exist or create all new children. Seeing as how these two are supposedly christians I wonder why they didn't decide to help ease the suffering of others and make the world a better place instead of just adding more unnecessary human bodies.

In other words they aren't responsible for millions of kids being in a shit situation, but they are responsible for their own actions. Their choice to make 17 babies instead of adopting results in the continued suffering of 17 children.

There was a family in my hometown of 2500 that had a family of 19 in the late 60s I believe. Of course, I went to school with all the grandkids. They were terrific people.

This is the great thing about freedom; they can have as many kids as they want and they don't have to give a shit about anyone else's opinion.

My wife and I have been following this family over the last couple of years through various TV specials and they are simply some of the best people you could ever hope to meet.

Gonna try and do some math here: 17 kids, 2 sets of twins so 15 births x9months = 135 months of being pregnant. Which means she has been pregnant for 11.25 years of her life. That is pretty nuts. I can't imagine having your wife being fat/overweight with a baby in the oven, craving strange foods all the time, morning sickness, trips to the hospitol, and all the hormonal imbalances FOR 12 fucking years. I am thinking her husband has a fetish of having sex with pregnant woman or something. Either way it's pretty nasty imo.

Also, I don't care how rich you are. At minimum it is $200k to send a kid to college these days, so with 17 kids that would be around $3.5 million. Good luck sending 17 kids to college or even feeding them all every day. I would hate to be a brother and have to buy 16 birthday preasents every year. That shit is just insane. I actually feel really bad for the kids because I am sure that they do not get the love, attention, schooling, parenting, and so on that most kids get. Think about it all their time is split into 17.

2 kids will be pleanty for me.

Human overpopulation is becoming a large problem, but the best solution is to increase the quality of life in the 3rd world nations. Populations in industrialized nations are actually decreasing because prosperity is the best birth control. (USA being the sole exception, but only because of immigration) Well off people don't want kids.
