There are no visuals and the screen is all funky colors now ![]() Anyone have any experiece with verizon and getting a phone replaced, or know what I am going to have to do to get it fixed?

| When you call, just be nice & don't hangup. You can almost always get what you want by just refusing the end the call until you are "satisfied with the resolution of this issue". Also, be sure to use key retention words like "t-mobile, cingular, & cancel". |

But yeah, if you get a pocket PC or something expensive, insurance is kind of useful since they're expensive and a lot more can go wrong. Actual phones are much more of a crapshoot. I'm switching back to sprint/nextel when the Musiq comes out in 8 days and I'm not getting insurance. edit: #1 Thing I love about cell companies is when youre service is almost over, they will blow you every way possible to get you to stay. I got the last two months of my bill free from verizon because I felt I was wrongly charged for calls I didn't make (and I was). They took away the band charges, and gave me a $150 credit. Good times.

| Best bet is to take it up there, be nice and honest. Unless you slammed it on the ground and ran over it to break it, it should be considered normal wear and tear. Today I went to Alltel with my phone that is ~3 months old. The belt clip spring had broken and my 9 key wouldn't work unless you pressed the left half of it. Not a big deal but annoying, especially considering the way I hold my phone and punch in numbers for automated calls etc. Anyway, I showed it to the guy, told him what it was doing and he filled out a warranty report, told me I would get a new one in the mail in 3-4 days and to bring back the old one with the new one, they would switch my info into it activate it and that's it. Oh, and he gave me a new holster clip on the spot. All for nothing but 5 minutes and some friendly chatter.
