As for Burgerville... I miss those Walla Walla Sweet Onion Rings and the Bacon Tillamook Cheeseburgers... When I lived outside of NYC Jersey Mike's was on my top sub's list. Last edited by ashatumar : 06-25-2007 at 08:33 PM.

Overall I find Subway to be decent. I mean it's not amazing, but at least it's consistent. I've been eating the same roast chicken with lettuce, tomatoes onions, a bit of mustard and sub sauce, oregano, S+P, and parmasean for like 10 years at least. I never get anything else. I find the way they store the chicken in hot water somewhat disconcerting, but whatever. It's way overpriced though, I agree. It's like 10 bucks for a footlong roasted chicken these days. I can get two medium hot'n ready's from Little Caesar's for that. Lately I've been more of a pita/rap kinda guy.

| All things considered (health, price, business ethics and taste), I avoid franchised sub shops. If I'm down to my last $2.50 I'll go for some Subway; if you're buying, Quiznos. Anyway. Living in a city I hardly ever have a good reason to pick up lunch from anywhere but a stationary foreign-owned food cart. Low rent, only one or two employees and short hours leaves a lot of room for low prices and quality ingredients. It's nice to support the local economy; and I avoid buying anything from any company with intrusive advertising practices. |

+18 Internets | I stopped going to Subway the day they started to mass expand, because thats when the sandwich quality took a shit. So in other words, about 18 years ago! D'Angelos (they actually make steak+cheese on a fucking flat grill...none of that bullshit-in-a-heated-box) or Panera Bread, k thx.

| Man, I live less than a mile from Delaware Subs and a few miles from a Texadelphia. I always get a Italian on wheat with sweet peppers and all the toppings. Their cheesesteak isn't that bad, but Texadelphia's Texan cheesesteak cannot be fucked with. They have some really bad ass mustard there too.
