+29 Internets | Webcam Following the successful 'headset' thread, I'm launching v2 - the webcam thread. I've found one from MS and one from Logitech that each look pretty appealing, but apparently the MS cam has bad sound reception (and echo) and the Logitech image is blurry and lags at higher resolutions. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/we...s/238&cl=us,en ![]() LifeCam NX-6000 ![]() I'm going to need two webcams, one for a laptop and one for a desktop - doesn't necessarily have to be the same cam for both. From the descriptions it seems that the MS cam is made for notebooks, whereas the logitech cam is more clumsy. For the laptop, this Logitech cam might also be an option - got good reviews on Amazon. But it's 5 years old already and I don't think streaming video was any good back then? http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/we...s/204&cl=us,en ![]() Anyone using one of those and can report on their usefulness? Or recommendations of another cam/brand? edit: ohh, it has to work well with skype |

| I have a Logitech Quickcam IM and I haven't even been able to get it to work on my last 2 installs of XP. Run the software, get to the part when it says "plug in the cam now," do it, and it never recognizes that it's plugged in. Even though XP definitely recognizes it, because it tries to auto install drivers for a cam and microphone. Do not recommend.
