You are completely out of touch with reality. I could egg you on some more to see some more of this crazy you keep spewing, but I'll just watch Fox News and get the same exact shit.

LOL OK. Go ahead 'egg away' and have me substantiate everything I've said while you mewl and screech and bluster with the EXACT sort of jackass one-liners you've been spewing which have no resemblance to reality whatsoever. Egg away, douchebag.

Well, I hope the defense of Ron Paul is strong, because they've already hopped on the "White Supremecists Support Ron Paul" bandwagon.

Heaven forbid they have a political opinion too. I hope he can weather the storm.

Newest Fox poll has him back down at 3%... if the debate organizers are going to go through with a 5% minimum requirement, he'll probably not be invited. Sucks for him, that's a lot of publicity lost.

That's exactly what I've been saying. For some reason Darksensei and Aulirophile think I'd beat around the bush if I wanted to flame Ron Paul. That's flattering I think, but I'd just fucking shit on him if I actually DIDN'T like him.

The truth is, I really don't think his campaign is quite prepared YET to match the sort of sordid lowball bullshit hurricane that's coming if he becomes a real contender. And Aulirophile and Darksensei would rather keep living the anti-establishment dream of the volunteer grass roots campaign. I've already mentioned that I think they can tool up and scale their organization appropriately like Howard Dean did. But no, Herr Khorum is just picking on the neohippies again. *sniff.

Ron Paul has raised 7.3 million and will likely double that by the end of the year. Like it or not the ESTABLISHMENT has seen blood on the water, and they will be coming with all guns blazing.

How did he lose 2%? Are they going to keep polling until they get a number they like?

There are polls happening all the time - check Pollster.com that collects and displays them. The margin of error is generally around 4% so numbers do jump around. Still, if the next 2-3 polls don't show some increase, we may all have overestimated the momentum from the money raising.

The guy fawkes exposure is less than a couple weeks old, he'd need a longer leadtime to convert that into actual poll results. There's no doubt he's turned millions of eyes to his cause, but two weeks won't be enough to dislodge enough folks from their preconceptions.

At this point Paul would need his local volunteers to get their message heard about the FOX poll so that the could mobilize whoever already DOES believe in his platform to get their voices heard. There's no reason to doubt that FOX would regard anyone else's polling metrics to be invalid, so if they want representation on the Debate on FOX News (the network has double the viewership of CNN and almost five times that of MSNBC), they'd have to mobilize for THAT poll.

On the internet and on their text messaging apparatus the Paul folks do exceptionally well in this, the question is whether they have enough folks in the real world in new hampshire to get it done soon enough. I'm fairly confident Paul will get into the debate actually... but that 2% drop is weird, he's under the error range again so I could be wrong.

If you build the only network that caters to racist, women-hating, redneck dumbasses, of course it is going to have more viewership. That audience is a bunch of close-minded morons who need people to sugarcoat their news with.. well, no news at all. Just stories about Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and missing white girls. Dumbasses love that stuff.

Oh is that why it's been growing between 15-20% over the last decade and was at quadruple the viewership of CNN at one point? Man, I bet those rodeos and NASCARS numbers must be swelling alongside it too.... But hmm, that doesn't seem like the case at all.

Wait wait, maybe all those christian televangelist channels have been growing and that's where all these new FOX dumbasses come from!! Doh, that's not true either.

Well shit man, where do you suppose those viewers are coming from then? It's not like NASCAR and CBN are enjoying ratings spikes over the last decade, in fact they're suffering viewership losses on par with CNN and MSNBC. To be fair though, MSNBC's decline has been directly proportional to FNC's growth, whereas rodeo and CBN numbers have been slowly dwindling for a long time.

So where do you suppose all these new britney-loving dumbasses are coming from Tristinn? Is it the elevated childbirth rate amongst trailer park folks? That's possible. Maybe newly-minted naturalized Americans? I mean, it can't be that the political center has become so totally disgusted with the hyper radicalization of the left that urban catholics, blue collar labor and middle-class entrepreneurs have become disenfranchised with the Dean/Pelosi school of crypto-communism. Maybe FOX is forcing all those ragheads in gitmo to answer nielsen surveys.

CNN and MSNBC are hardly shining beacons of journalism either...

all the major news outlets are biased so i usually watch fox because it is the most entertaining. i refuse to watch cnn after that bullshit interview with john cena, and msnbc just sucks save for predator reports.

I, without a doubt in my mind, know that Ron Paul is a political mouthpiece for the Libertarian Party. Why?

1) He is a Libertarian. This is obvious to me being a Libertarian myself and having met a lot of Libertarians in my days.
2) He is running on a Republican platform. This will foster media attention, as any Libertarian politician knows. Shit, I worked as a personal assistant to a Libertarian gubernatorial candidate in Oregon. He is now in another office, after running as a Republican. He did not compromise a single value. His reason, out of his mouth, is that they only give you air time if you run along major party lines.
3) Ron Paul is ridiculous. There is no fucking way we would ever vote him into office - he looks like a clown (looks are everything in the pres. election), makes bold statements that few will rally behind, and now his commercials. Come on. Watch those commercials and tell me this guy thinks he has a chance of being the next US President.
4) The target demographic is VERY clearly 18-25. This is historically a large voting body, but also historically an irresponsible voting body which does not show up to the polls. If you want to be president, you target people who are going to vote.
5) In 2012, the 18-25 demographic will be 22-29 - far more responsible, politically active, and also the most attractive and likely to influence other people en masse. They will not have forgotten Ron Paul.
6) In 2012, you will see a serious Libertarian candidate.
