People want a safe, comfortable message that they have done nothing wrong and that bad people are bad people and good people do no wrong. The world is far more complicated than this, but it does a politician no favors to tell them the truth. Instead, give them warmed-over saccharine promises without any explanations of how or why, calling it 'Straight talk' or 'Hope and change'.

I learned this the hard way in sales. You can tell people the truth, and you won't get shit. Or you can keep it simple and tell them what they want to hear and close the deal. It's as simple as that.

An interesting factoid I found about Ron Paul v. McCain's little "racism" incident...

Apparently, though Ron Paul's name was on some questionable articles from 1980's and early 1990's, and he apologized for it, the media seems to not remember McCain saying on his tour bus in 2000...

"I hated the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live."

Well, that's always peachy for foreign policy.

Romney out, down to 3. Can't wait for the debates where its just the moderators asking McCain questions over and over again while the other two sit.

Are there more pre-Primary debates?

I imagine there will be one before Texas and maybe another between now and then? I know Clinton wants the Demos to do 1 per week.

If she is having problems raising enough money of course it is in her best interest to have as many as possible.

I'm not sure where the claims are that the debate scheduled for the 28th will be cancelled, but sadly it's probably true. The media has their winner, they don't want people to have any further choice.

The people have had like 6 months of "choice" now. Unless you want to start saying how the media made it so people couldn't vote for Paul in the primaries as well.

Ron Paul blatantly ignored by fox on Nevada coverage:

YouTube - Fox News Hides Ron Paul Nevada Victory

Media attention isn't the only factor but it's a crucial factor. Without it you cannot hope to really succeed. Despite Paul being third and then second in Nevada they completely skip him.

Because his second place was near irrelevant. We aren't talking about "Holy shit, Ron Paul got second place with 30% to Romneys 35%." No, he had 14% to Romney's 51% and McCain's (who I don't even think spent time/money there) 13%.

Somthing like 600 delegates got assigned during Super Tuesday. Ron Paul got like 10. He's a non-competetor, for all the millions he has raised and all the legions of followers he's supposed to have, he failed to turn this into anything of solid political value yet.

At least Huckabee that started in the same bottom floor Paul did converted some of his money and movement into something and is going to end this proccess with triple digit delegates.

seriously fuck all these media sources that are fucking him over. I know he has no chance, and I know a lot of people don't take him seriously, but at least PRETEND to appear as an unbiased source. I can't believe that everyone, no matter if you're a Paul supporter or not, isn't completely up in arms about his omission time after time after time.
