+2 Internets | Speech help I've been up to my ass studying for midterms all week and completely forgot until now I need to give a 5-7 minute informative speech on Thursday. If anyone's done a speech they might have saved, it would be amazing if you could PM it to me. The topic can basically be anything: I'm not sure yet what topic I would talk about if I have to write it, just something that can hold a college class' attention. |

| Topic: What is your position on the role of government in supporting innovation in the field of biotechnology? Start: 2 three minutes jokes Speech body/conclusion: Recent research has shown that empirical evidence for globalization of corporate innovation is very limited and as a corollary the market for technologies is shrinking. As a world leader, it's important for America to provide systematic research grants for our scientists. I believe strongly there will always be a need for us to have a well articulated innovation policy with emphasis on human resource development. Thank you. With today's feel good college grading, I promise you'll get at least a C.

| You can always discuss how "save the cheerleader, save the world!" applies to current global politics for a few minutes. Of course, the two have absolutely nothing in fucking common, but I bet that topic would hold a class' attention, heh. |

| I've got an old speech labeled persuasive speech that I could send you, might work if you change it a little bit. By no measure is it my best work cause this speech class I took was a joke. |

| Actually I found an informative paper that i wrote for english comp a couple years back about the microwave, how it works etc. This one would work pretty well for an informative speech I think. Let me know if you want it, i'll be at home for another 90 mins before work. |

+2 Internets | I gave the speech today and felt really confident about how I did. I ended up doing it about microwaves and by keeping it in simple terms and giving just a general overview, I think I kept the audience interested while still teaching them something. I also just got an e-mail evaluation back from the professor (quick turn around time!) and I got an A- on the speech. A special thanks to Pub for helping me out with the topic as well as his paper which I used to create my outline for the speech. Last edited by Loftish v2 : 03-01-2007 at 12:54 PM. |
