Essential Mac Programs?

So i just picked up a mac book the other day. Mostly because i fear vista being a mess, and the mac just looked pretty sexy. Anyhow besides MS office, firefox, and toast what programs should i be getting for my mac?

Adium. Best AIM/MSN/etc client ever, though using the gaim core, it has a few problems with file transfers.
TextWrangler is an incredible text editor, especially for being free.
I use CyberDuck for (S)FTP and am pretty happy.
VLC for media needs.

My MUD client is Atlantis and my IRC client is Colloquy. Neither is particularly amazing, but they're pretty. If I'm going to play Aardwolf or some fancy complicated MUD, I just remote desktop to a PC for zMud. Oh well.

Usually I get uTorrent first and then just try to leech a version of Windows as fast as possible before I shoot myself in the face.

It's often a tough race.

Textmate is much better, dish out the 20 bucks or whatever it costs. You will not be disappointed (i also think its the official editor for Ruby). Also has the ability to open up entire folders which makes it great for project style work. Has built in ANT and other niffty features. Ive used textwranger and subethaedit and none of them compare to textmate.

get SSHFS from kernelthread.com. Basically mounts the remote file system onto your machine so you can do everything in finder. This allows you to use textmate to open up an entire folder/project on the remote machine and work that way.

Camino > FF for max.. Just looks way better and it uses the gecko engine
