The cure to smoking - brain damage!

Damage to spot in brain seems to erase smoking urge - CNN.com

Why? The insula appears to be where the brain turns physical reactions into feelings, such as feeling anxious when your heart speeds up. When those reactions are caused by a particular substance, the insula may act like sort of a headquarters for cravings.

Anyone else think this is the first step to creating zombies?

Reminds of of Eternal Sunshine... where Jim Carrey's like "does it cause any damage to the brain" and the doctor says "well technically, it IS brain damage. But nothing worse than a serious weekend of drinking" or something to that effect.
