My football picks for this week

Im a big football fan, and I'm assuming some more of you out there are as well. After this weekend's huge upset with some underdogs really shining, this coming weekend is goign to be some stellar games.

For starters I anticipate the Pats coming out on top over Indy. Im a huge Patriots fan, and for me, this game against San Diego was our Super Bowl. They just beat the best team in football and I've always felt that Indy was a paper tiger. Indy's defense, while better than it was, still cant stop the run...and their last game they had major trouble with TD's having all their point scored by golden foot Vinatieri ( Im still sore that hes gone ).

I think New Orleans will win over the Bears. I dont think the Bears will be able to do much against NO's defense and after their last game, one in which they should have steamrolled the Eagles, the Bears cant afford to underestimate what The Saints can do this weekend.

I ultimately feel the Super Bowl will be New England vs. New Orleans with New England ultimately taking it making it 4 Super Bowls in 6 years.

I was really hoping for a Saints Chargers super bowl. I think Brees meeting his old team would have been cool... but then I look at the Saints run D.. and Tomlinson, and well... no thanks! Glad that won't happen. I am glad that Brees got farther (and with a totally decimated team) than SD. He is really a premier QB and letting him go was the wrong move.

Anyway, I think it will be NO vs. NE as well, but I hope NO pulls off the miracle season. Clearly one of the best stories in sports of our generation.

I'm going with New England vs. Chicago. The Bears catch alot of shit, but they're alot like the Patriots in that they find a way to win. Or they luck out.

I hope the Saints lose so I don't have to deal with anymore fucking feel good katrina sports story of the century bullshit. That would be so annoying for presuperbowl hype.

Yes, poor you, having to watch a football game in your unflooded house. I really feel for you.

I'm guessing NE Vs NO although the Indy Ne game will be very close. I don't think chicago will beat NO and in the end I pick the Pats to take it all.

Yes I'm a huge NE fan, have been for a long time but I certainly didn't expect them to pick it up like they have in the playoffs.

Will Harrison be back for the Indy game?

if saints get to the super bowl i fear that refs may be swayed to give NO a lot of favorable calls. for them to win the super bowl would equal FATTER cash for the nfl. they love feel good teams and boasting how great these storied teams are, and sell the shit out of them.

I think Indy's D is still questionable. I think teams have been falling into the trap of lol Indy run D, and just try to pound away at them without taking shots downfield. Cover 2 isn't good at defending both run and pass---it's good at either or. Well it's never really a great run defense anyway...it's just when they can bring up a safety out of deep cover and limit rushing gains because that's all you're trying to do then we see the results of the KC game and to a lesser extent Baltimore.

If Cincy or KC would have opened up with an air attack and then started the run/play action then they would have had a lot more success. Baltimore's offense sucks.

So, as much as I'd like to see a Saints/Colts Superbowl I'm thinking Belichick will once again exploit the hell out of the Indy D, but I think Indy's O will have better success than they've had in recent years. In the end I think NE takes it. I don't see how the Bears win without a 3+ turnover margin.

Saints/Patriots.

God, I hate the Patriots.
