It could be argued that Detroit is a coastal city.

Yeah I guess, but you know what I meant.

Anyway, I just wanted to rub it in.

Ratings? You mean like TV ratings? In this fucking city? Dude, people here go retarded ape-shit over the Cardinals. When the Rams won the SuperBowl it was like *yawn*. If the Blues win anything it's like *yawn*. I swear man, this city lives and dies by their baseball team. About the only people that won't watch the game here are dumb old ladies who still cling to the outlandish futuristic idea that electric typewriters will one day revolutionize business.

If you're talking about some other rating, then please explain.

Or maybe you're talking about national TV ratings? Yeah, I'd expect them to be lower than normal as per the OP. If New York or Boston isn't involved, it must not be anything right? We're flyover states afterall, wtf do we know?

I mean, duh.

I live 15 minutes from St. Louis in Illinois and he tells no lie, people here love the fucking Cardinals.

87 people could have been the victims of a psychopathic homo-ancesral-necro-pedophiliac rabid chicken in St. Louis today and I doubt highly it would make the local news.

To any Detroit fans here:

You call yourselves "Hockeytown" and have a general tendancy towards beating the shit out of the Blues whenever you see them, so ... fuck the Tigers. You get zero sympathy.

I will say though, in all honesty, that beating the Mets in New York and seeing the faces of the local fans was almost better than this.

They should just ban any team that isn't on a coast from even playing sports.

My favorite part of the game tonight was when the camera panned over some Cards fan in the stands with a sign that said "Just hit it to the pitcher!". Pretty much summed up how I felt about Detroit. I was lookin for the picture, but if anyone manages to stumble on it, do share. Grats Cards fans.
