It means Book. No hebrew there. The reference to the Book, or 'the Good Book' is a term steeped in ancient tradition, so much so that when our ancestors spoke about 'the' book, there was only one obvious reference in Western Civilisation. The Latin root continued on, partially due to Latin being the active language of the Catholic Practice, but also due to the rampant spreading of the romantic languages (Even today, 'A(the) Biblia(bible)' means the Book in portuguese, although there is only one book named 'A(the) Biblia(bible).') | |
