| Yeah yeah yeah ... sue me mother fuggers. Groove, please post up a TestMy.Net please. So i got my wire crossed up before, dont loose sleep over it. Wasn't the first time. when most people talk about downloading 1meg per second, they say 1mb/s. As in a 60mb file dowloaded in 60 seconds. 1mb downloaded in 1 second is 100kb/s. Yes, I know what the fugg the difference is ... 1000 Kbps = 100 kB/s = 1 Mbps 1MB/s is 1.00 * 10^3 KB/s and if ya wanna go base-64 it's 976.56 KiB/s |

| Here you go. Not particularly fast server, I suppose i'm maxing them out or something? No idea. From a site with real bandwidth I average around 1100kb/sec-1200kb/sec, if you want a screenshot of that (i.e./ mirror.ac.uk) then i'll post it... Ciao. |

NTL seems like a nice provider. Exactly how much is L24.95 in US currency? I just downloaded a 215mb file from KevinCheese's TailRakeRadio site. Did about 522kb/s average. But thats from home now on cable. I wonder what happens after the year is up? How much does the price go up to keep the space/bandwidth, or what do you lose to stay at $10. | |
