+29 Internets | Do a search for a thread I started, in which Vorph posted. As far as I'm aware, there's not a whole lot of options out there for simple, easy to use programs for converting DVD's to high-quality compressed files, complete with AC3 audio. I've still never gotten around to getting familiar with it, ran into some problems with jerky camera pans, most likely something to do with me fucking up the frame rate. |

| Auto Gordian Knot is very good, and easy to use. It allows you convert dvds to Xvid or Divx. If you're just having audio sync problems, use AVI Mux. You drag the file into the GUI, select the audio track and it allows you to select how many ms of delay you want to put into the audio. When you save the avi with AVI Mux it adds some weird things to the header and I can only play the file with VLC Media Player. If you open the new file with Virtual Dub and save as an avi, though, it works just fine with everything. |
