| "An Outline of History" by H.G. Wells, it's a two volume set. Or, if you prefer a long read, "The Story of Civilization" by Will and Ariel Durant, a ten volume set. Excellent general history reads. Sadly my library and the computer that has my catalogue are both in storage, or I'd have more suggestions. :-(

| Right now I'm reading Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind by Shunryu Suzuki: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/083...lance&n=283155 It's an excellent read if you're interested in a starting point towards Zen; it's written with the idea of helping make Zen ideas more accessible to those trained within the framework of Western thought. |

| One of my favorite books is Swords Around a Throne: Napoleon's Grand Armee. Very interesting look at the Napoleonic Wars and the French at that time. A couple other good books Citizen Soldiers and D-Day by Stephen Ambrose The War of the Roses by Allison Weir I don't know that this technically falls under nonfiction, but Romance of the Three Kingdoms is incredible. It is based on factual events, but certain elements (like when people use magic) obviously wouldn't have happened.

| Inside Delta Force - Eric Haney (founding member) Awesome read, about 400 pages. Covers the selection process, training, and several real world missions.
