I stayed away from the 2005 FPW cause I hear A LOT of reports excessive of white areas forming at the screen edges due to the brightness.

930b is definitely the way to go. That monitor is amazing.

SyncMaster is a great model, I've had my 750s CRT for almost five years and it's still perfect. Every report I've heard about SyncMasters, LCD or CRT, has been nothing but good.

I can verify the 2005FPW that I just bought does not suffer from this at all. Then again the idiots posting this shit prolly have the brightness set on 100% Vs the 80-85% for normal use.

Noticed the black screen test at 5 with brightness at 100%

No banding with brightness at 90-100% , slight banding at 80%

I set the monitor to 80% brightness for normal web browsing , using Word and the such because the shear brightness of a white screen this size kills my eyes. When gaming crank it up and enjoy.
