| Best virus protection software? Just wondering what people think is the best virus software at the momment. I recently got AVG Free which found 1 virus that my over priced norton didn't. Seems there are lots of good free versions out there. |

+1 Internets | I used to think AVG was good but we were running it at work on our small company network and it didn't do the job. We suspected we had some viruses after I took a bunch of files home to work on and my home version of Norton's picked them up. So we dumped etrust and Nortons on the network and they both picked up a whole bunch of virus files that AVG didn't find. Of course they also picked up one or two that the other didn't as well. I like Nortons but yes the memory thing is pretty bad. |

| I uninstalled symantec corporate edition to give that kaspersy thing a whirl. I much prefer the corporate edition. Norton though - that memory / registry / cpu hog just makes me want to gouge out my eyes. |

| Kaspersky (AVG) and F-Secure (F-Prot) are the best around here. Norton and Network Associates (McAfee) sucks, unless you are in a professional environment (where you can remotely upgrade software version and virus definition on all of the workstations). The main difference is that Kaspersky and F-Secure are security/research labs that make software, while NA and Norton are software companies that do some security.
