My browser has full blown AIDS. Help. :(

Let's get this out of the way: I use IE (default SBC Yahoo DSL browser). Yes, Firefox is better.

Whenever I type utilizing my browser (ie. on message boards, typing in addresses, etc), sometimes my browser "freezes" for a few seconds. During that time, other programs continue to run (such as iTunes), but I cannot continue to write. When the screen freeze is over, and if I had continued typing while the screen was frozen, everything I typed suddenly appears.

I've tried to google the issue, but came up with nothing. I have all the current Windows patches, yadda yadda.

Anyone know what could be causing this besides FULL BLOWN AIDS?
