New Car (different stipulations) and by new I mean used

Saw Sukushi's thread and figured I'd post about my car search and ask for suggestions too.

I basically want to remain around the same price $5k-$6k if possible but I have to fit in it. I'm 6'8 and a lot of cars feel like go-karts to me. Also the stupid little raised foot pad near the door they are putting in some cars now so old grannies can get in and out easier totally fuck me over. That is where my foot would normally go but with one of those stupid things in the way it goes behind the brake pedal rendering it useless.

Cars I know for sure I fit in are Crown Victorias and Monte Carlos. 2 door cars seem to always work better for me than 4 doors too. I was looking into Trucks and SuVs but I really wan't to find something that gets better gas mileage if possible. I was thinking Ford Ranger for a while since they get descent mileage, but I sat in a bunch of them and my head hits the top in every single one.

Here’s a site that might help you make your decision, it gives the mpg on pretty much every car for the past 20 years plus a ton of other information also.

It's called a dead pedal, and any decent car should have one. At least, a driver's car should. But I understand what you mean. Have you considered not being a fucking mutant?

My friend is 6'8" and he drives an Audi 4000CS Quattro. They get okay gas mileage when driving conservatively, but when he engages the second throttle body it only get's about 2 mpg. It's AWD with electronic lockers and you can lean the seat back a bit and you won't hit your head on the top.

I'm not sure why you'd put one of those in an automatic, but the dead pedal is quite comfortable and allows for quicker shifts in a manual. your foot rests closer to the clutch so you can 'pivot' back onto it rather than having to pull your whole leg back and around. it's probably cheaper to manufacture one interior than two seperate ones, hence why you'd find the dead pedal in an automatic...
