Saying "bad" words in violent video games

I hate this beyond belief. Youre playing a game where the point is to KILL other people and you get kicked from a server if you say fuck? Why the hell are people so retarded about things like that? Kill people in horrible but ways but dont say naughty words!

It pisses me off to no end when Im kicked for calling a person a fucking moron in BF2 after they purposely TK or crash us.

The situation you're looking for is having a soccer mom walk in on you while you're chopping up her family, and when you say "get the fuck out of here or I'll cut you, bitch" she scolds you on your usage of improper language.

Killing people in a game is simulated, you're not actually killing that person. Saying "cockfuckshitdamnbitchwhore!" in chat is the same as yelling "cockfuckshitdamnbitchwhore!" walking down the street. It's not simulated vulgarity.

Now, granted. I'm not advocating the overzealous censorship of language in games. I think people who are offended by vulgarity are as fucking obnoxious as the next person. But if they want to be offended by it, go right ahead. It just doesn't prevent me from pointing out that it's a retarded comparison.

this is one of the reasons i quit bf2. a lot of times i'd get chain tk'd, tell the guy to get the fuck off the server, and then i'd be banned for "not being a mature player" while this guy can happily continue tking people.

I generally play on Zboard servers which dont have swear filters, so its not a problem.

This was really more of a rant. Just pisses me off beyond belief that these kind of rules exist in games like BF2.

Give it time and the real anti-TK mods will come out. I had a server for CS I used to play on that ran FF and had a bullet-reflect type mod built in it, that was some hilarious shit sometimes. But really, you can't play a game like BF2 on some random server, need to find one with forums and a clan that hosts it, that aren't a clan of retards. Usually the best place to play, where they are 3-4 mods on at any given time to fuck slap the gimps.
