| You are not damn right | Service Pack 1? K well I need to reset windows xp to service pack 1. I've tried a myriad of different DL sites etc, but they ultimately link me to microsoft auto update. My router conflicts with the firewall, despite every port being opened via the firewall and the router itself being dz'd. It owns my CS, and won't even let me play on bnet. Kind of tired of it now, and dont feel like dumping another 50$ on a router when this one does its job just fine. Anyone?

| You are not damn right | sarcasm? It's definitly not there, nor is it in windows components. No way Microsoft would make it that easy. They shove these updates down your throat.

| http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;875355 I know the title says TabletPC, but it should work on all versions of XP.

+11 Internets | The reason why some may not see a SP2 removal thing is because (and I am just guessing here) they didn't install it as a "pack". Instead the updates were just installed individually by Windows Update. That's all SP2 really is, just a whole shitload of security updates and a few new features bundled together. If you were an early adopter and downloaded the whole pack as one download and installed it that way, then you'll see that option to remove it. Otherwise you'll just have to pick and choose which updates to remove individually, I guess. |
