| Book Website and what are you reading Bah since forums were wrecked didnt get a chance to repost our website and start some discussion again about fantasy books. I mean they go hand in hand with fantasy gaming in my opinion. So whats everyone reading these days? We are still looking for reviewers over at the site as well. Currently I am reading Goblinquest by Hines which is about a goblin and how they deal with all the adventurers always coming to kill them. Not bad so far Darizra http://www.fantasybookspot.com |

| Just starting The Runelords series by David Farland. I'm not far enough into it to give an opinion yet, but it comes highly recommended. Oh and I just finished Amber and Ashes, the start of a new Dragonlance trilogy by Margret Weis and it really sucked.

+54 Internets | I'm a big fan of Orson Scott Card, myself. I never get tired of the Ender's Game series. Usually whenever I open a book nowadays its because there is a test not too far off . I'll read for enjoyment in about one more year.

| I'm currently reading Johnathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke. It's pretty good although the writing style can get a little tedious due to all the footnotes that kind of take you out of the middle of a story (some of which are over a page long which is rather lengthy for a footnote). It's basically a story about England in the 1800's and starts off with a society of "Magicians" which are basically gentlemen that study the history of Britain's magic even though none of them can practice it anymore. Then along comes a real practicing Magician out of nowhere to put them all to shame and then proceeds to volunteer to help beat back Napoleon. Overall, I like it alot but I'm only about half way through it so consider that a cautious recommendation. |

It's fairly short but I enjoyed the art and the story has kind of a "John Carpenter of Mars" feel to it so I enjoyed it. | |

| Last book I read was Snow Crash by Stephenson-NO fucking clue how I missed that one for so long, awesome book. Currently reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainence...one of those books I always wish I had read, so now I am. Decent enough, I guess, definately written in the 70s, tho. Next up is The Diamond Age by Stephenson. Got about 20 more books sitting in a box that I plan on reading as the mood strikes me. Oh, and William Gibson needs to write a new book.

And Knife of Dreams. Martin, though, is easily the best high-fantasy writer I've read(yes, that includes Tolkein).
