| Single Player PC RPG's Im a college student and most of the games I have tried to play on campus dont work due to firewalls. Im curious if there are any really good both graphic wise and gameplay wise Single player rpg's. Im also up for tips on getting around school firewalls to play WoW and other RPG's. Any input/suggestions would be great, thanks. |

+1 Internets | Gothic 1, Gothic 2 Morrowind Temple of Elemental Evil Sacred Divine Divinity, Beyond Divinity Baldur's Gate Series + Icewind Dale That's a couple hundred hours right there. If you need more, try: Fallout 1+2 (again) Heroe's Series There's more, but that's what comes to mind. Ta.

Also, check out The Fall, a good Fallout clone released a few weeks ago if you're looking for something really recent. | |

| World of Warcraft. HAH. Only joking, Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption/Bloodlines are both good. Deus Ex 1 (2 is shit), System Shock 2, and of course Planescape Torment.

| I third Gothic 2. If you speak German you can snag the add-on pack Night of the Raven for a ton more gameplay. It's a little strange though, because it sortof rewrites the game; you play from the beginning and go through a lot of the same content but with the new stuff sprinkled throughout. I was thinking about redoing Morrowind. They have like 3 expansions for it and tons of user mods, so there's plenty to keep you going, but I myself could never get around the god awful combat system. Not an RPG per se, but you could also do some adventure games such as Curse of Monkey Island (one of the funniest games I've ever played) and Grim Fandango. Last option would be to go kick your net-admin in the nuts and have him open whatever's needed for WoW. I'm sure you're not the only guy who wants to play it. |

| Agree with all of the previous games mentioned, but just want to say that Sacred was really only so-so. It was pretty much an exact clone of Diablo 2/other click-move/attack games, except it added mounts. It was a fun game, but if you can only afford a few, and only have time for a few, get some of the other good ones like Neverwinter Nights and the various expansions + user mods, Morrowind, Fallout, etc. and not Sacred.

| You'd still be able to fully enjoy it. Every FF story is independant from its prequel (even if there are some slight recurrent elements). Also play FF6 btw. |

| Off topic from PC but considered going xbox/ps2 route? Assuming you had access to either.

| If you want something older, more involved...might try the Realms of Arkania series. I have two of the three, but can't get them to run properly (with sound). Gold Box games as well, can't go wrong there. Forgotten Realms Archive....umm...Darklands for even more in depth gaming...hehe All of the above mentions are good too ![]() Baldur's Gate 1&2 is really really good. PM me, I might be able to help you out with BG2 if you need it...
