To be honest, I'm just experimenting. But when I started looking into high yield mutual funds last night, I noticed that alot of the best A-rated returns were coming from China in both the short and long term. In the mutual funds I picked (one for China, one for Latin America, and one for Russia, I'm not interested in day trading, and I'm hoping that the current trend is recovery from a recent slump. If my guess is wrong, I'll lose.

The mutual funds led me to take a look at some individual Chinese stocks and RCH caught my interest. They are an architecural engineering firm that would seem to be a good stock for a country growing infrastructure. I don't know how much higher it will go, but before it readjusted the last time, it peaked at 27ish. I'm a little bit tempted to buy it IRL, so I need to do some more research. Anyway, if it's capable of getting back into 20s range, it might be good to get in on.

I made some decent change shorting KB Home, but couldn't sell off some of my Goldman position before the market closed. :\

I got hammered at the end of the day was up 1.76% 30 minutes before close then bam my TASR and ARQL stock died! TASR I know will go back up, they hold the patent on it and every day more and more cities are buying the Taser. And the lawsuits against them keep getting knocked out of court. As for ARQL that was listed on CNN money as a strong buy so I bought lol it is a Pharm company so it is a gamble like my Greentech Stock ah well.

@Tjac couple chinese stocks did well today. I almost bought SOLF which is a solar power company today. It was at 25 up from 20 and I thought it peaked but it just kept going lol. Got up over 29 then fell at the end of the day to 26. This is why I don't invest for real. =)

The important thing is that the game lasts about 118 days if memory serves. It's a little early to be celebrating or cringing just yet.

This game is a bit buggy for trying to cancel. I tried to cancel a couple sell orders but they still went through. Also Buying price is a bit annoying. I live in the west and woke up after trading started, tried to buy some stock at the price it was at and had gone up another $1 by the time the stock went through which kinda sucks. I don't think day trading will work well on this system since you can't really take advantage of the rise and falls of stock prices. So I'm gonna stick with some long term stocks.

Netflix will own I am telling you. Woot it spiked .16 points...will go down to .02 or something by end day but still a steady climb.

I hate to say it but I was hoping for bad economic data today. Would have helped rather than hurt my stocks.

Yeah I got screwed on SOLF stock hardcore. I put in a buy at 28ish and then by the time it went through I paid over 31 but then it started falling and I was down 7 grand. So I kept it hoping it would go back up by the end of the day. haha I couldn't have been more wrong, shit fell like a brick while I was out. Now I am not sure if I should just hang on to it and hope it goes back up so I can sell or just eat the buller now and get out before it gets worse.

The secret to the stock market is to pick the most evil or trendy companies you can think of and sinking your money into them.
