vBulletin banning

Hey guys

How does banning work in vBulletin? I'm banned from another forum (a Harley place), big surprise right? Anyway, it can't be by IP because I'm in a completely different location, and I used anonymouse.org to log in and make a new account, but when I went back and logged in as the new account, it still recognized me. Any clues?

Honest Question about/for Obama Supporters

First of all, not here saying I agree or disagree with the guy, I'm simply asking a question for those that are very open and public about their support for the guy as every encounter I've had with the before mentioned has been much like the one I had today and I just thought I would ask to see if anyone else has encountered this. I know this board (at the moment anyways) is mostly Democrat in their stance so I figured it would be a good place to ask.

Today at at my store a woman came in and began browsing around when two other people who were already in my shop began talking politics, both I assume were republicans as their discussion was about Obama and how they weren't happy about his economic stimulus plans and started talking about how Obama isn't repealing the Bush tax cuts for the rich and is letting them expire in 2012, which they mentioned happened to be an election year.

Now I'm not expert in politics but I stood there and watched this woman who had just come in become visibly and increasingly agitated, her face was even turning red I kid you not her face was turning red and she was shaking.

The two men then turned and asked me:

"Well what do you think? Who did you vote for?"

I gave my normal BS (not wanting to cause political debates when I know there are some within hearing who obviously can't handle it) and said whom I voted for didn't matter and while I had concerns about the Obama administration and some of their statements and decisions as of late, as long as he does a good job I'm fine with him and anyone else who would benefit our country being in office.

This somehow set the woman off, as to how I don't know but she came up to the counter, threw an item at me and the two men, knocked down a ton of shit I had on the counter as well and screamed the following...

"I BET YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF GAY BASHING IDIOTS, ISN'T IT WEIRD HOW GAS PRICES WENT DOWN BEFORE THE ELECTION?! YEAH I THOUGHT SO YOU PEOPLE DON'T KNOW POLITICS YOU IS ALL RETARDED"

I shit you not, that was word for word and while her entire statement was saturated with ignorance and left me laughing at her as she walked the door, I've noticed this more then once with hardcore Obama supporters, the gas things cracks me up personally.

This isn't trying to bash anyone, but has anyone else encountered something like this, both sides had retards but it just seems I see the Obama ones yelling incoherent thoughts much more then the others. Do normal supporters of Obama, the intelligent ones hate these people too or is it just me?

So, any of you know any good cheap winter gloves? I've looked at a few and most of them are either too expensive or really uncomfortable. Looking for something in the 20-50$ range. Must be relatively thin and waterproof. Would be a + if they were long enough to fit under coat sleeves.

Looking for opinions on one of these? I was seriously debating buying a HTPC till I saw this.

I specifically want it to stream HD content off a network PC in an MKV source. The reviews all seem positive but if there's someone who who has had one for awhile I'd greatly appreciate their feelings on it.

Dumb car question

No, it's pretty dumb. So my wife got really sick with her pregnancy and quit her job and I basically have been doing all the driving. Well neither of us noticed until recently but her car sat there so long that the tires went flat.

No problem, I went out and bought a pump and aired them up. Backing out of the driveway, one of them popped or something. Made this sound and the sidewall has a gash in it. However, none of the tires are flat, all are reading 30ish PSI. And when driving on it, it makes a wobbling sound like the tires are flat. I didn't really drive on it, we thoguht the pop sound originally was the tires breaking free fromt he mud/etc that was around them, we drove less than half a block.

I know her tires need to be replaced, what I am wondering about is what that sound could be. The tires aren't flat, what's the wobbling sound? Horribly unbalanced tires?

A/V PC question for Home entertainment center

I have a TV room all to myself, simply put I have a Sony speaker bar w/ bass speaker connected through HDMI cables to my XBOX360, and cable box going in, and TV out.

Having seen this set up, I am in the process of building a new PC for myself. The LCD I have is a 40 inch Samsung 1080p, I already have a standard VGA cable running in the wall and out of a wall panel. What I would like to do is hook this PC up to the TV with HDMI. My problem is I am unsure if the new video cards have this as standard outlets now.

This is the video card I have targetted to buy:

This whole thing falls under two reasons:
1.) I want to game on my LCD, essentially like I do my XBOX360
2.) I want to buy an internal Blu Ray to play movies on.

So my question is this. If the video card does have a HDMI cable, how does sound hit the sound system itself since it would be "just" a video card. Am I destined to have to run a seperate cable for HDMI, and then a seperate non HDMI cable for my audio (Super S?). Any help would be appreciated, I am somewhat an A/V newb.

Ok so I stumbled upon this The Friday before Thanks Giving. It was...........for the most part ok I have not seen the associated movie for this series yet, I TiVO'd the "Malevolence Saga" that aired this past Friday and watched it last night.

I liked it, and found it to be semi entertaining I think Anikan's Padawan is annoying, as she always has these comments after some one says a comment about Anikan like, "That's my master." playing him up.

The combat is pretty good, though i have not seen to much light saber battles, I liked the space battles though, and the Clone Warfare.
Over all, I enjoyed it and added it to my weekly TiVO list, and I will watch it with my Son, which I know he will like it for sure being 6.

Any one else watch it, want to comment on it, or bash it ?

Hey guys

Love this show.. I just catch it randomly though. I saw one of the newer episodes and they were trying to hire new fabricators, and apparently Vinny and Cody had left the show and opened their own bikeshop or something. I tried Google-ing to see why, and I could only find something about a reference to some episode where Paul Jr made Vinny clean up some mess that Jr made or something, and Vinny was pissed over it.

I dont know - does anyone know what's going on there? And which episode that was specifically?

What does U.S. debt really mean?

This is one issue that I've been confused about for a while now. I understand that If I am in debt and do not pay, then I could potentially have everything taken away from me (enforced by our government - court ordered).

Now in the case of the U.S. what I've noticed is that all of our company's problems are being "covered up" or consolidated into national debt. What is the downside to increased national debt??

Do country's stop loaning us money? Because from what I can tell they haven't - or it's had no impact.

Can't we magically say that debt for our government is relieved? Who in this world can enforce debt... I thought it was our governments job to stay debt free.

Do our equity markets mean anything if our government is absorbing these companies losses?

Another Cruise Thread - Wedding Proposal

So whats the best cruise line in your opinion to take over new years? Dec 29 (about as long as its after Christmas) through and past new years day (to Jan 2nd at least).

So far Carnival has almost all Western Caribbean cruises available for about 1600$ for two people.

Royal Carri bean seems to have some Mexico and western Caribbean cruises available for that time and it seems to be docked into port longer (all day) on one day.

General Information
1. Her birthday is on Jan 1st
2. Which do you prefer for young couples or wedding proposes Carnival or Royal Caribbean? I know everyone has their opinion but I am still interested in your experience especially shore excursions
3. Looking to spend between $1000-$18000 on the cruise itself.

Her birthday is on Jan 1st and I am also proposing on that day which is why I want the cruise to go through that day so I can propose and we can enjoy the rest of the day.

So its that time. I've been looking for awhile but now its finally time to make the decision on which cruise line and destination I am going to be going with. I know it's late and last minute that I am actually booking the cruise but I wasn't sure I was going to have the money for it until yesterday.

I am looking to track down the title of an old 1980s animated fantasy film. I haven't seen it since I was a kid. The basic plot was about a guy from the real world being drawn into a fantasy world where he becomes part of a group of adventures trying to defeat an evil wizard. I remember the ending was interesting because the wizard was aware that the guy was from the real world.

I know this isn't a lot of info to go on, but I've tried without success to find it through various google searches. Anyone have any idea what this movie was called?
