Hard Drive issues

I am not sure if this is the right forum to post here, but this seems to be the computer smarts area.

I have a 500gb hd with windows 7 build 7xxx. I recently switched to 2 1tb hd's striped raided and my old 500gb hd is not showing up.

I could change all the settings back and put everything I was hoping to get off the 500gb drive on an external hd (would need to buy it) but I would still like to be able to use this hd.

All I am trying to do is get most my info off this drive so I can reformat this old drive and use it for storage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right click My Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management and see what you see. the physical disks are on the bottom. Is it still just not showing up there? If not then it's either not connected or isn't recognized by windows (check device manager).

maybe your raid configuration is picking it up as part of the raid drivers and since it has a diferent model /capacity it bumps it out.

It is not showing up in device manager.

The power and sata cords are connected and double checked.

I have it disabled in raid config currently.

Are you sure disabled isn't actually disabling it

I unpluged the sata and power cords from the drive and mobo then plugged them back in, now it works fine.
