.bkf recovery programs

Hi,

I haven't had to use one of these programs before, and before I bought I figured I'd ask the trustworthy guys at FOH.

Anybody have a recommendation as to which to use?

Thanks

Oops, sorry. I didn't realize you had a corrupt .bkf file.

I've had success (Granted it was a long while ago) using this program. The command line syntax that works for me, for example, is c:\temp\ntbkup yourbackupfile.bkf -p "c:\whereyouwantthefilerestoredto"

You can read more about commands etc here.

It's worth a shot trying this out since 1) it's free and 2) the other programs out there are expensive.

Hmm, this solution is confusing me. Maybe its just my inexperience, but I'm having trouble getting the program to work. I click on the .exe and it doesnt work. Try typing in ntbkup then a command and it tells me ntbkup isn't a recognized command.

You cant just double click it in explorer as it's a command run program. I've just downloaded it and typed it in a command line window and it works fine.

When you type in "ntbkup" - are you in the same directory as the ntbkup.exe file is located in?

Yeah, figured that out. I felt dumb.

At any rate, it failed to recover the file I needed. Ended up having to buy a program to do it, which worked flawlessly.

What program did you buy and how much was it? I may need an alternative solution one day should the one I have fail.
