| Ham is that the comment metadata you posted (probably when you went to the properties in foobar)? The whole "Encoder : EAC (Secure mode) / LAME 3.92" etc? EAC lets you add that automatically when you rip CDs. Most of mine just say Track 7; EAC (Secure Mode) though, but the rest of the information is easily available in the file.
I know in foobar the codec profile field will have "MP3 VBR V#", at least for a file I found that was encoded with lame 3.97. Other codecs like itunes will just have MP3 VBR, CBR and whatnot. Extracting that data through code I'm not too sure, I'd probably look at the foobar code or check their forums.
