| A lot depends on your intended market. If you want to reach out to Asia be careful with godaddy. Nobody in China or India can see the servers there because of shared IP. You have to get a dedicated IP and there are still problems with your mail. It has been a nightmare getting everything working for my website to be visible in those 2 countries... that is over 2.5 billion possible customers ![]() |

| Well this is what happens... big ass companies like godaddy only have a few IP addresses in reality. So that hundreds or maybe even thousands of sites share one IP. The only thing that makes a difference is you type in your name, and it will DNS register with the godaddy servers. With Asian countries that have massive firewalls (In China it is called the The Great Firewall of China) if one person has a website the government finds offensive, they can't ban the name, they ban the IP address. Well guess what, if you have one site on the shared IP address of your site, the whole batch of hundreds to thousands all get banned.... |
