| I can dance if I want to | Buy/Sell/Trade?: I frequently buy and sell on trade forums for the boards I visit, many with much smaller user-bases than us(I personally like them because of not having to pay ebay/amazon comissions). I noticed people do some selling/buying in PMs and in certain posts(like in the demon souls one), so my suggestion is a dedicated buy/sell/trade forum. Just put some solid restrictions(like 100 posts minimum to post/sell)on the sellers. Would be neat to see all the various used junk FOHers have for sale. |

+78 Internets | Problem is many of us don't live anywhere near each other. Indy took me up on a special addition Fallout 3 and that fucker lives overseas somewhere. Was like 120 bucks for shipping or something retarded like that. Mods don't do it because I imagine they don't want to deal with the headache. |

| I can dance if I want to | Well, my experience at shoryuken.com, neo-geo.com, blue-gartr, and smaller ones(like my Ys collectors community) have generally been positive I've bought hundreds of items without a single issue. Most people can see a scammer a mile away(just don't buy from anyone who hasn't been around awhile). I can understand the headache issue, I'm just saying that in my experience it really hasn't played out like that and they've generally been a positive thing. For shipping, most of us live in the US, shipping within the US is dirt-cheap(especially anything that fits in a flat-rate box), I know we have a sizeable european community but...if shippings too much they just wont buy it(and vice versa). I've driven all over the country picking up things(like just yesterday I bought this: http://darusgrey.org/IMG_0135.JPG for $400 from a guy at the blue gartr trade forum, even though I had to drive 500 miles to pick it up). Anyways, I just think it'd be a cool idea, that's all(I'll even mod it if no one wanted to deal with it). Edit: and to clarify I'm talking about physical objects(games, books, etc), not selling MMO accounts. Last edited by Darus Grey; 05-11-2009 at 06:12 PM.. |

| I'll support this FOR SURE. We have a small forum where there is a buy/sell for just our company. Lots of shit gets sold there often and you get great deals since it's used. Sure we all work in one building so it's super cool, but besides shipping, I can see it being just as useful here.

| I have done tons of shit on pbnation and other paintball forums- if you use paypal you are usually fine and they have some nice systems set up for tradeing rep etc.

| Well you definitely need a rep system, and maybe mandatory heatware and ebay and/or other references to work, because I know that mods will have a pain in the ass dealing with scammers Though fortunately, since not just anyone can register a new account and start posting, it does seem to be safer than any open board |
