The biggest downside to most of the new forum suggestions is that there's just not enough current conversation going on about the topic.

However, there is a ton of threads regarding specific purchases and feedback on products, etc.

How about a forum specifically for discussion of products / services etc. HDTVs, monitors, speaker systems, cars, kitchen appliances, GPS units, etc. With clearly labeled thread titles and a little moderation, I think it would be a good addition. For someone like me, I come to FOH because I know a lot of people on these boards are like minded to me, so I trust their opinion over some random reviewer on Amazon's etc. And while most of the threads are in general already, for example if I wanted to know opinions on speaker systems for my tv system I might look in the tv house, the music house, or in general for information. Like I said, consolidating it to one location and allowing for a little more moderation and some well kept thread titles would be awesome IMHO.

At the very least, an end to the retarded idea that 'tech' threads that pertain to TVs, video/surround gear, and music players belong in the TV, Movie, and Music Houses respectively would be nice. The consolidated threads on computer hardware ruined all the good discussion on that topic here as well.

Completely agree. The TV, Movie and Music threads are about the TV shows, Movies and Music we listen to/watch on the gear. Not the gear itself. /facepalm
