| Making the comments have names attached to it would screw up the +internets system. It would just turn into mindless retaliation. Like anyone cares if the -internets was for a valid reason, they'll just flag whomever flags them, especially given the limit of one +/- per person. Internets being anonymous encourages people to try and post better. I know I've tried lately. Making them public won't do anything but encourage people to be angry at their fellow boarders. Let's say I make a post that is decent but not great. I get a - internet for it. Reaction if I don't know who it is? Damn I got a negative internet, I'll try to do better next time. If I know who it is? If it's someone like Millie, Zehn or Kreugen well I'd probably take it. But for most anyone else it would be damn you Poster X you're a fucking retard, I'm going to -internet you in return. It would turn the focus of the system from trying to do better yourself to anger/annoyance at fellow posters, which I don't think is the idea the mods are trying to do with this system. I think it's also possible that drama over the -internets could spill into the posts on the forum. | If you go against the majority opinion, no matter how well reasoned or constructed your post is, you will be on your way down. Post quality has something to do with it, but belonging to the majority opinion and whipping out cool zingers is far more important.
