You can rate a person more than once, there's just some kind of arbitrary cooldown on it. What seems to be happening is actually a reverse of what you're describing -- the people who cared enough to give +internets have basically stopped giving them for the most part, whereas the guys who like to give -internets are still on in full force. Since negative internets are generally funnier, I wouldn't be surprised to see the majority of everyone in the negatives, or at the very best hovering around 0, at some point.

I think only people with more internets than you should be able to give you "- internets". I'm a 02er and I'm pissed off that some 07er (or, Holy Mother of Holy Baby Jesus, 08ers) pubbies can give me "- internets" because they believe this board is an extension of the WoW forums.

Also, you shouldn't be able to give or take internets from a post older than, say, one week. I got - internets because of a post I made before (and about) the fucking Iraq war.

I'm oscillating, so far, between +7 and -2 internets. I wouldn't care if minuses weren't given out like candies. -1 internets for posting good infos about the WoW engine? Jesus. With acts like this, the system is just meaningless.
