I was thinking about the fact that I have a bunch of games that I will more then likely never play again. So off I went to trade them in for store credit at the nearest gamestop. They offered like 10 bucks for 8 games so I left and said NM. There was a long thread on this subject already so I will get to the point.

Would the people of FoH message boards be interested in a straight up trading system? No money just a list of games you want to trade, and a list of games you want.

The problem I see with this is some asshole scaming you and sending you some broken PoS or not sending you anything at all. So this would strictly have to be an honor system. The other problem would be you would have to exchange address, but a P.O. box is pretty cheap can get one with the money you save. Can work out the details through PM or Xfire or whatever.

Anyways thats my idea.

I suppose you can always use [ HEATWARE.com ] as a feedback system, maybe link to your eBay feedback so people know you're not a total douche.

I thought about the Ebay thing but after fees and and dealing with all the crap that comes with an auction its just not worth it to me.

I'm interested. I agree Ebay isn't worth it since you only get a few bucks for used games and no stores trade PC games now. I don't think a feedback system is necessary, I would trust most of the regular posters around here for something like this.

So would it basically work like this?

1. post games for trade
2. PM someone who has a game you want
3. set up trade by phone/email
4. Fedex with tracking numbers, which should be cheap for a few games.

I have these for trade:

PC: NWN2, Titan Quest, Titan Quest: Immortal Throne Expansion

DS: Contra 4, Super Mario DS

PM me with what you have on PC or DS.

I'm all for this, it's definitely a good idea! Maybe we can pester the admins into a feedback system for the forums? prs mirrie?

I think it's a pretty cool and well founded idea, though I wouldn't use it. I'm a collector and never get rid of games because I loves them. I'd be interested to see the system in action though.

Pretty sure you'd have to fire that idea on Requiem instead of Millie.

I like this idea, but much like Sean I get skeptical when it comes to letting go of my older games. I'll definitely keep my eyes open towards this for sure though.

RedFlagDeals.com: Canada's Boxing Day Deals and Boxing Day Flyers HQ! Shopping, Coupons, and Freebies! If you're Canadian the forums there provide a great deal of people willing to do trades/sales of old used games. On that note as well they use vBulletin the same as here and have a fairly good built in feedback system that could be emulated.

Alright thats what I am talking about. Ok I will have to look at all my games tonight and list them. I think this could work even without an offcial feedback system. Just post a quick _____ gave me what I asked for and is a great trader, or whatever.

Makes sense this is moved here. I have never read the suggestions forums, I see someone already had this idea in a general kind of way. Personaly still think it belongs in the Other games area and we can just use this thread to post our stuff. Unless requi can hook us up with something official.

If you're looking to implement an official board feature, it's more likely to get Requiem's attention in this forum as a "suggestion," but if you're not getting responses after awhile, maybe create a temporary thread in Other Games as a stopgap measure?

This is correct. I don't handle the tech side of the boards, nor do I know how.
