| What about a cooking forum? It feels like most people here are in college, or in their late 20s/30s. It's a great cross-section for sharing recipes and tricks. I saw something like this on SA at one point, and the recipes were great. Any chance for this here on FoH? |

+4 Internets | Looking for suggestions on what liquor or mixed drink I should put in my ski poles. Just picked up a pair that basically have flasks in them. There's the ever reliable and delicious (yet predictable) jager, or perhaps brandy/amaretto, but does anyone else have any good ideas? Needs to be fairly high proof so it won't freeze, naturally. |

+4 Internets | Yeah but at the Heritage Classic the guys beside us had a wineskin with what I believe was brandy/amaretto. It was delicious and very warming at -20C. I'm looking for something with a bit more flavor than just straight vodka. I measured each pole, lolz, and each only holds about 3 ounces (all they really are is regular ski poles, which are hollow, with caps on the top). As much of a novelty as anything, I'll probably still carry my flask as well. And I'm not worried of anyone getting suspicious. Skiing and drinking go hand in hand. I plan on offering drinks to every ski patrol that gets on the chair with me. Oh yeah, and where's a good place to get a nice flask funnel? I've been looking and can't seem to find one. |
