It can be assumed that this is someone who snuck in back in the FFA registration early days of the new site with a (not so) clever name.
Why would he care enough to try to mimic Furor's name, and then never post with it?
Why bother in the first place? |
Good question. At any rate, it was a waste of 5 or so years on this poor sap's part, as Furor impersonation is typically a ban-on-sight offense.
That said, there have been plenty of Furor impersonators over the years. Most have never made it past registration, or at best, 1 or 2 posts. I'd estimate there are about 50-75 variations of "Furor Planedefi1er" and whatnot among the banned users list as we speak, and plenty more in the waiting-to-be-activated ether.

My guess is that the person who registered it also registered another name and was only waiting for the perfect thread in which he could mimic Furor and make a funny before getting banned on that name.
|
This was my initial thought, as well, but an IP check reveals that this was the user's only registered name. Strange.

But hasn't that thread happened yet? Maybe 100 times? There has to have been more than one case where this guy could have posted with this name and pretended to be Furor (realistically or sarcastically) and made us laugh (with or at him, either way would have worked), but he didn't.

It hasn't happened because we don't let it happen.

Or it might be an admin having fun but I doubt that.

Nope.

Whoever it is, they absolutely must be some kind of a reject. You care and know enough to register the name Furorr, but don't have enough wit to use it to make me laugh?
|
It's sad, really. I mean, if you're going to be a sleeper troll for so many years and then finally emerge from hiding, you should make a grander debut than this guy's.

In conclusion, the person who registered this name also got mad about midochlorians in the first Star Wars prequel. This is without question.

Actually, my guess is that he's still refusing to leave his parents' basement in some sort of extended mourning period for Aeris that began circa 1997.
