The FoH Stock Market Game II

Anyone interested in a getting another stock market game going? I'm thinking Investopedia as I already set up a game there and VSE was problematic last time we tried this (I and others got stuck in positions). If Interested the game name is "The FoH Stock Market Game II" and it's set to start next Wednesday. The Investopedia game also seems a little bit more flexible than VSE as you can trade options (could you do this in the last game?).

Anyhow here are the game rules.

Investopedia Simulator

Additionally people might find the Economic Calendar handy

I joined in. Shame it doesn't start today, great buying opportunity over the next few days.

I wanted to give people a few days to get going, plus you can go short in a few days!

Is there a way you can turn down the market delay? I hate how delayed Investopedia can be.

I believe those are set by the markets and you can't remove them.

I could but I won't because they don't have real time quoting. Plus it would allow anyone with a real time feed to trade 20mins ahead of the game. IE I could execute on price spreads that were 20minutes ago knowing what they are right now.

Having access to a real time feed is enough to ensure victory in such a system, since alot of economic news comes at 10am and the reaction is over in 20 minutes. All in with triple leveraged ETF's on economic news would be hard to beat legit.

The system takes the market delay time to execute trades too. It isn't an advantage.

Unless I'm reading what their help blurb says incorrectly they are on a 20minute delay so your execution should be on a 20 minute delay as well. If I execute immediately I'm executing on price that happened 20 minutes ago, and since I have a real time feed and I suspect others do as well this wouldn't be fair at all.
