| Just giving people stuff never sloves anything its everquest not everwelfare, after the shine of getting 1k AA given to you wears off the actual game has to deliver. And quite likely its not going to for the same reasons returning players quit in the first place (well those that just got bored with it).
I do agree its four years too late for alot of players. But I think the way forward is making sure that when they do attract new players, the gaming experience must be engaging and interesting and allow for them to catch up to long time players.
The new AA system is a way of addressing one of those steps, but if they are at all serious they need to invest the time of a group of developers/writers for about a year to fully resolve this.
In short, its a band-aid solution if this is as far as it goes, alot more work needs to be done, and in my opinion TSS was supposed to cover the engaging/interesting aspect for new/returning players, and it didn't.
